Steps and Echoes represents a new narrative and choroegraphic direction for Manohar. It is an exploration of concepts of movement and meaning, both ancient and modern. Steps and Echoes is a full length work divided into six historical phases. Each historical phase is complete short story comprising of a varying number of linked dances in classical Indian dance styles, embedded in evocative poetry in many languages, including English, and connected by an underlying motif.
