In this satire on conventional life, two travelers are shipwrecked on an island inhabited by playing cards, and turn that rigid world upside down. A comedic Bharatanatyam adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's Bengali play Tasher Desh. Restaged in French as Au Royaume Des Cartes; rechoreographed in 1999 using both Bharatanatyam and Kathak.
