Simi initially learned Bharatanatyam from Hari Krishnan at Winnipeg’s India School of Dance, Music and Theatre and completed her Bharatanatyam Aradhana in 1996. With desire and passion to continue dance, she has studied Kathak from Usha Sharma at Jhankaar School of Dance since 2000 and has earned her Third Year Kathak certificate from Prayag Sangeet Samiti of Agra, India. La Bayadère – the Temple Dancer was Simi's first appearance with Manohar, and she has since appeared in Steps and Echoes. Simi was also a featured performer in Taal Tarang.
