Apoorva started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of three from her guru Jayanthi Subramaniam in Chennai, India. Since her arangetram in 1998, she has performed extensively in competitions and benefit shows in Canada and India. Apoorva's first performance with Manohar Performing Arts was as a Devadasi in La Bayadère - The Temple Dancer on tour in Toronto and Vancouver. She has also appeared in The Game as The Soldier and in Steps and Echoes.
